Pr3Va1L Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 Actually, i dunno what these are, but in theory an audio taper pot should work better for volume and a linear taper pot should work for tone. Quote

No taper works best for volume or tone, it is just a preference thing. The link says they are audio pots and since I use audio for both volume and tone I didn't give it a second thought. Some use just the opposite - linear volumes and audio tones. I think it all depends on how you want the control to "feel". I want mine to react fast when I turn them down. Linears seem to have a lag to me and work slower meaning I need to turn it further. Personal preference but no electronic reason one is better. Quote
