daveq Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 Has anyone here played a PRS with the PRS trem? If so, what do you think of them? I'm not looking for a dive bomber but I would like to have something that can add a little expression. I've been looking around for what I can buy that would be similar to the PRS trem but I'm not sure what to expect from something like the Wilkinson or others. Quote
DaveK Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 I think they are great trems for what you are describing Check out this site: MANN MADE TREMS This is the guy that made all the 1 piece (better tone!!!) bridges for Paul Reed Smith Guitars, before they started cutting corners! The tone is WAY better on the 1 piece Dave Quote
daveq Posted September 9, 2003 Author Report Posted September 9, 2003 Wow, that's great. Thank you. I was really hoping for something a bit less than that in terms of $$$ but I guess you get what you pay for. Quote
mcbmoreno Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 You could also try hipshot tremolos. Their site is www.hipshotproducts.com. Not sure if the righty has a solid block but it says on the web site the lefty does so maybe the righty does as well. You could special order them through guitar center or probably some other guitar stores for around 70 bucks. Plus they have them on stew mac for $80. Quote
