Col_Death
Just wondering if anyone has every mounted a jigsaw to a table to create a half arsed poor mans bandsaw? I'll probably try it with one of 2 freebie jigsaws I got given before I try to do it with my Bosch.
Mattia
It can be done, if you have a festool. Apparently. I've tried it once, and didn't like it at all. Much more control just moving the saw over the workpiece.
Maiden69
I've done it a few times. Most of them to cut pickguard material for control cavities before routing the edges. Not used on wood, since I think that this way the blade flexes too much for a decent straight cut.
ryanb
I agree. I can't see any benefit to this over just moving the saw -- though it can be done. It'd be pretty dangerous and harder to control. I absolutely hate jigsaws, and will only use them as a last resort. (I am fortunate enough to have better options though.)
