Daniel Sorbera Posted July 21, 2006 Author Report Posted July 21, 2006 Bad things... Bad things indeed. The neck on the mahogany maple broke Quote
Phil Mailloux Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 Ouch! If it broke as in cracked in two then I'd say steam off the fretboard, pull out the truss and rout the neck pocket free with your pocket templates EDIT: of course that implies that the neck isn't salvagable. Quote
Daniel Sorbera Posted July 21, 2006 Author Report Posted July 21, 2006 rout the neck pocket free with your pocket templates Thats exatly what I was thinknig. Any other sugestions before I take a router to it? Quote
matttheguy Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 Perhaps if you're good with chisels, you could take it out like that after you steam off the fretboard.... But, you said it was pretty much unsalvageable? Just take a router to it, I'd say. Quote
