brutas Posted August 2, 2006 Report Share Posted August 2, 2006 I am working on a LP Supreme style guitar. I am most comfortable carving with a router. The problem I am going to run into is carving the second side, as it will no longer sit flat. I was wondering if I could carve the back before gluing it on or would that cause more problems than it would solve? I would appreciate any suggestions on how to do this. Make a jig that's simply the outline of the top carve, so you drop it in there and it's sitting nice and flat with it's backside up waiting for be routed. Wish I could draw a picture to explain it...
