Roli
Here's a recording that I made using an electret microphone of a cell phone's head set. The mic has its own surface mount little preamp. I've been using some hall reverb only. I played it on my steel string acoustic, a cheapo Hohner. Nicae's Song Use right click and 'Save target as...', cause Tripod doesn't allow direct download.

Jehle
That's incredible! Really nice playing and that tone is fantastic. Hmm... I think I have an old head set around somewhere.
nccyr
This is fantastic! I registered to this forum just because I enjoyed your music so much and I wanted to post a reply. Can you give more details on how the microhone was mounted, distance from the strings, etc. (maybe a picture if you can). This is great stuff. My wife wireless phone just died recently and I was wondering what to do with the electronics... Thanks, ncc
Roli
I unfortalnetly don't have any camera or scanner right now to post pictures, but here we go: first I soldered a shielded wire to the right contatcs of the little mic, then I glued a plastic clip onto the mic. I filed the clip a bit so I can put it on the pins of the bridge (steel string acoustic). I gotta put it around there, cause at the soundhole it would be way too bassy. One thing you gotta know: I used the microphone plugged right into the soundcard's mic input, which has got its own phantom-power. This trick will not work without a phantom-powered preamp input. And I'm glad you liked the music.
