Bizzar_Guitars
Hey folks, here's my latest. The specs: Multi-piece neck-thru (Mahogany, Maple & Purpleheart) 27" (702.82 mm) Baritone scale length 27 medium jumbo frets (28 if you count the ‘zero fret’) Single action truss rod (adjustable at head stock) Purpleheart compound radius fret board (20" at the nut, ~24" at the 27th fret) Walnut stringers Figured maple wings Original Bizzar design (I think) inspired by the great white shark 12 degree angled head stock 2 degree neck angle 2 Bizzar Humbuckers each with coil split switches and a single phase switch Two volumes One tone Tune-O-Matic bridge String thru with ferrules Corian nut Varathane Crystal Clear Waterborne Diamond Wood Finish Outdoor Gloss spray finish LED’s under the fret marker inlays with fiber optic side markers, LED’s turned on via stereo jack. With the exception of the maple wings ($30), the rest of the wood for this guitar was scavenged from my local building materials store. Here's the plan: Poseidon Plan I have a differnt way of doing things. For instance, I cut the truss rod channel form the center laminate before gluing the all the laminates together, eliminating the need for a curved truss rod channel jig. I made the center laminate the exact width of my completed truss rod, making for a snug fit. Here's a look at the center laminate and the fillet cut fom it: Center laminate A look at Poseidon with the wings attached: Wings on After staining my last guitar, (Kyle's Warlock) it was suggested by many that I should have left it natural. What do you think about this one? Should I add some stain or not? Here's some primitive web pages detailing the progress: Bizzar Guitars - Poseidon More to came as it progresses. Thanks for looking. Lord-of-the-strings
I like it, kind of looks like a mockingbird. I think it would have looked better if the bass side horn was ever so slightly curved inward. But to each his own! Good luck! Good luck! it doesn't loook anything like a Mockingbird......? definitely more along the lines of the Bich....or *maybe* a Stealth, but definitely no Mockingbird resemblance there... WezV
I like the fretboard markers. I did something similar a few years ago with rosewood dust and metal tubing, i have also done a couple with crushed stone in them It looks good on your purpleheart
