Is it possible to make a King V with the ends coming to a pointed spike instead of the blocky pointed edge. The reason i ask is i want to know if there would be any problems along the way of building it.

I don't see why not? If you're building a custom body you can do anything! Has it been done before, probably:

That's not a king V, but you get the idea...either way, the technique invloves using a Chamfer bit:

Alternatively, you can just do it by hand with a rasp, sandpaper, and a lot of patience.

Any sharp point is liable to chip. However, in this situation, you've got the grain running down to the tip of the spike (not across it) so that adds a lot of strength. Just be careful when handling the thing, and use a nice, strong wood.

I've often pondered on how to strengthen tips. Would using CA or epoxy as grain filler prior to finishing impart any significant additional strength to the wood's grain structure?
