Daniel Sorbera
If you just glued in a bolt on neck it would make it "set neck" not "neck through" To make it neck through You'd have to cut/rout out the center section, build a new neck with the tennon the full length of the body, glue the sides back on, and re rout the pickups/bridge etc.

Lord-of-the-strings
Why do you want it to be a set neck?
fryovanni
Im thinking og gluing a neck to my guitar and kind of make it a "neck trough".. Any reasons why i should not? You lose all the advantages of having a bolt-on neck, and gain nothing (well unless you want to fill the screw holes for a smooth finish). I don't understand the motivation behind making this change to a playable instrument . Maybe you could shed some light. Peace,Rich
Odin
well.. i really like the heels on necktroughs, they are comfortable and looks good. I wanted to make a heel like that. No other reason really..

No other reason really.. I like the N-T heels also. The Trick is you are really not changing the joint (screwed or glued ). If the idea is to smooth out the heal a bit (depending on what you have now). You could make the same mods with shorter screws. You of course still need to be sure not to take away too much(same with bolt or set). Peace,Rich
