rsera Posted October 9, 2003 Report Share Posted October 9, 2003 if you want background music to practice a song there aer some tunes on MIRC. Heres how to get them!!! DOWNLOAD MIRC!!! IT IS FREE!!!!!!! www.mirc.com Open MIRC MIRC options -> Connect -> IRC Network drop down menu. Should be the first tab on top of the options menu. Select EFnet. Make sure you put something into the Name, Email Address, and Nickname. Push ok. Then click the lightning bolt on the top left side of MIRC (connect) It will take a minute or two to connect, once it has, click the "Efnet" tab underneth the broken lighting bolt. (same place and the original one) Once you have the EFnet box selected, enter this in. /join #guitarbackings you should have entered the room. There is help listed every few minutes on what to do from there. Hope this helps, if you cannot connect to EFnet at all I am guessing you are either behind a Roughter or a Firewall what is blocking port 6667. Type !GuitarBackings the main channel to get connected. A new box will appear you may have to select it from below! To UPLOAD Right click on the new opened box and select DCC Then click on Send select your backing and it will send To Download Type DIR To view the folders Then type cd "ANDPUTTHEFOLDERNAMEHERE" ^^^without the quotes^^^ Type DIR to view the files in the folder To download Type Get FileNameGoesHere.mp3 To move back from a folder type cd.. ^^^Two Periods^^^ Any Help msg me here!
