goat
I am inlaying my name in abalone in my guitars body. Should I mask over with tape, spray, remove, then clearcoat?
Brian
Why don't you just clear over everything?
goat
Why don't you just clear over everything? I`m sorry,I forgot to state that I was painting the guitar a solid color.I do plan on clearing over everything, but I want the guitar to be blue.I don`t think I can paint it and then route it because I have to sand the epoxy(from the inlay) and that will ruin the paint...I think??? I was thinking of inlaying the guitar, masking the logo, cut around it with an exacto knife, spraying blue, take off the tape and then clear coat.I just wasn`t sure if that would be the way to do it because some of the lines are pretty thin,I didn`t know if the paint settles well that way around tape. Any suggestions???
