custom22
Hey everybody, I'm getting into electronics and have been looking at plans for homemade effects pedals(runoffgroove, etc). I kinda just want the experience but I dont exactly want to waste my time for something that turns out so bad i cant use. So, any recomendations? jnewman
I can't tell you what kind of FX to like, but if you drop by www.tonepad.com they have quite a few schematics/layouts. They even sell boards for some of them. They have copies of some big name ones and some diy designs. A lot of people like the Big Muff or the Tube Screamer, and they have both of those listed, as well as some Boss and MXR pedals and a bunch of others. Sambo
Projects i'd advise to start: Ibanez tube screamer Big Muff Buffer pedal! MXR Blue box Boss CE-2 (complicated but works well) Boss DS-1 (off Tonepad) All pretty nice projects. Although be careful, the DS-1 might be easier and cheaper to buy a 2nd hand one S
