Oh, and pearloid catches and burns VERY fast, I had a pick made of pearloid once and I threw it at a candle and it literally just burst into flames. Cool, eh? But I prefer 1-side scratch resistant "Acrulite" plexi, 1/8" thick. I cut it with a fine toothed jeweler's saw and bevel the edges with files, then sand and polish.
