Got A Compressor Finaly!

Recommended Posts

I got me a cheap set up just to start!!! I got a Kobalt 26 galon compressor, and 2 cheap Central Pneumatic guns from Harbor Freight. I decided to because I wanted to get the lower plastics on my bike painted and the girl wanted $200 for the Job. Well, I said, if I can paint good with a spray can, me think I can do better with a gun!!! I decided to take the hugger (rear fender) and the chain guard from the bike and use them to test my skills, since if I mess up, they are cheap to replace, and are in my "to upgrade" list. Here are links to the compressor and the guns

And here is a little close up of the hugger and the chain guard. This is after 3 coats of clear sprayed with 10 min flash time between coats, now there are some particles of dirt that got on the hugger on my first coat of clear!!! I am painting outside and here in darn Texas you can't predict when the wind will decide to blow hard! Any way I realy don't care much because they are on the part that will be facing to the rear shock on the bike and the sides are nice and smooth.

I think that after it cures I will leave them like they are, no need for wet sanding!!! If it was a guitar, may be I would hit it with 2000 or higher and then buff.

I can't wait, not I think that a few of my guitars will get repainted out of the sudden!
