I should have been more specific- Depending on the thickness of the rubber, couldn't the pressure exerted upon the pickup and any mounts from the rubber cause them to become damaged over time? biliousfrog Posted July 5, 2007 Report Share Posted July 5, 2007 .....As for finishes, how about topping it in rubber instead. You could raise or lower the pickups from the back. Then when your pups were up, the rubber would stretch over them and you'd have some stretchy lumps.
