Pickup Winding Question..

Is it possible to take an existing 'stock' pickup, and to add wounds to it to make it hotter or brighter?

I have no experience winding etc, but I was wondering if it is extremely difficult to custom wind pickups using materials from the stock set?

it would be possible, but id suggest to just rewind it, but that depends on what you are using to wind it. if you are going to wind it by putting it onto a drill chuck or similar, then id do the whole thing, but if you were thinking of doing it by hand completely, then messing around with the soldering suddenly seems like an easy, not too time consuming job.
