thebirthofcool
Just stripped my first guitar. I thought I was down to the wood grain but I noticed a thin layer of some sort of clear stuff. Question: Is this the grain filler? Do I need to remove it to finish it natural? Also, Can I simply apply another coat to fill in the divots and scratches from sanding (few and very minor) Any help would be appreciated. This forum is awesome for a newbie like me. Thanks
Prostheta
That'll be sealer - what finish are you considering using (first of all)?
thebirthofcool
That'll be sealer - what finish are you considering using (first of all)? I am unsure. Just know that I want the wood to show. Vintage clear from reranc was a possibility. I havent researched ahead enought to know if I want laquer or something else. I suppose if one is easier than another, I'd strongly consider that.
