RGman
Yes, but get some sperzel locking tuners instead of using the locking nut.
gibsonsg26
you can install a floyd in almost any guitar dimebag darell installed the floyds in his original mls when he was younger. If you look at the old pics you can tell. You just have to route to accomidate and drill for the studs. Im not sure on installing the nut but im sure someone on here can tell you. FLYINGVPLAYER
Yes, but get some sperzel locking tuners instead of using the locking nut. BUT dont you need the nut to keep the strings from falling out of the notches in the nut?

BUT dont you need the nut to keep the strings from falling out of the notches in the nut? I think you lack understanding on the subject. I said you DON'T need a locking nut, you don't need to change the nut at all. Just get locking machine heads, much less annoying. And you don't need to route for a FR, just change the neck angle. gibsonsg26
carvin sells guitars with just sperzels so like rgman says it should be fine the locking nut would be better but tuners are easier. Sorry i forgot to mention when i said route i meant if you want to recess it. Sorry for the confusion.
