Memphetic Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Hey all, I need to find a piece of maple binding (curly, quilted, or highly flamed) that's at least 54" long and two pieces at least 18" long for my project - http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.php?showtopic=32210 - can someone please point me in the right direction or assist me? I've checked eBay, and there are auctions for it, but only 32" long in lots of 10 I think a single piece would look better. Quote
rubber314chicken Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 just do a joint where the 2 pieces of the top connect. that would work well, as long as its very tight. Quote
fryovanni Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 Two piece are actually easier for me, because you have to bend the wood bindings. A full length piece would be a bit of a challenge to not snap, and still get it bent just right. Take your time and make a clean joint with two pieces. Peace,Rich Quote
