but does anyone know if you can clearcoat over this without it going arse over tit?

Don't know about the clearcoat thing but it says "durable under hand contact" so I suppose you could leave it on for a couple of weeks without additional clearcoat, then take it off and repaint it.

Of course you would need a Black Light Lamp on stage pointing to your axe like Vai has his hair blower fan
