Painting Color Over Clear?

I'm painting my mic stand white to match my guitar and I noticed after I'd already put on the first coat of clear that one piece is not completely white. Can I spray another color coat over the clear, then go back and finish up with the clear coats? I'm just using regular Dupli-Color spray paint.
