rockinrobert Posted December 1, 2003 Report Share Posted December 1, 2003 Hello all, my name is Bob and although I have been playing guitar for 40 years, I have never built one. Been sketching idea's for many years though. This really seems like a good place to hang out. I like the fact that there is no foul language allowed, I hope everybody gets along here and don't feel they need to use it. My idea for my first solidbody is to get a neck-through from Carvin or Stew-Mac and to build from there. I am a bit intimidated at building a neck from scratch. I also want to build an acoustic from one of the Martin or Stew-Mac or LMI kits. I could use some ideas on that from people with experience, which kit they would recommend and why.
