boundsteelblues
Anyone have a pic of what the routed channel should look like that I can use for dimensions?
Mickguard
Anyone have a pic of what the routed channel should look like that I can use for dimensions? What routed channel? A top-loading hardtail requires no routing. Unless you're talking about the Stewmac bridge (it would really help if you tell us what you're talking about), in which case, their specs are listed in the ad. I apologize that I was not clear enough for you. Yes, the Stew-Mac. The specs are of the bridge.
ihocky2
I would make it as wide and long as the slots and I probably wouldn't go more than 3/8" deep, 1/4" should probably be fine.
Mickguard
Yeah, a little straight strip would do it. I'd be tempted just to punch out holes directly below the slots. Either way, it's not going to show, so it's not a big deal. Not like it's going to affect the tone or anything like that.
soapbarstrat
Routed channel, my ass. I made a bridge plate just like the stewmac with the keyholes for the string ball ends, and I just drilled holes in the body underneath where each keyhole is. I think my holes are something like 3/8" dia and 3/16" deep.
