maroto
Hi I'm in my polishing phase for my new guitar and after using the compounds found some little dots like dust in my finish, from distance it looks like some part were a little hazy but very close seems like tiny holes in the finish. DOes anybody have any advise in to eliminate this problem, would be great. Thanks
ae3
Are you finishing a porous wood? If so did you fill the grain? Unfilled porous wood can cause symptoms similer to what you are describing. Do you have any pics?
DGW
Solvent pop ... I know this problem all too well. It's usually caused by spraying too heavy, not waiting the proper flash times in between coats, or using the wrong temp reducer. In my case, a 1.4 nozzle was the culprit. I switched to a 1.0 and haven't had a problem since.
