That way the bridge pickup is the exact distance away from the saddles that you want it to be. Maybe you just marked for the bridge with a pencil line and located the bridge pickup cavity from there. Obviously, you are a lot more experienced at this than I, but I was just wondering how you went about locating the bridge pickup cavity.
