sbskates Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I made afew necks in the shop the other day. was noticing my jig slippe dand one off the truss rod channels is closer to the high e side. so anyone done this before? will this rod stil work good or should i fill the channel and rerout. arggggh! NotYou Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 A while ago I was routing wood I really wanted to use for a neck and I slipped and ended up with a really crooked channel. I routed down the middle again with a much wider bit and installed two ebony strips down the length of the channel. I made sure they were closer together than the width i needed for the truss rod then I routed it again with the proper bit. That fixed the problem and gave the neck some reinforcement. Quote
