MP63 Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 I want to fill a name that has been lasered into my pickguard. The pickguard is white and I want the flake a brilliant red. If I find a nice flake, what substance should I mix it in that'll keep the color and have it dry hard? Epoxy or CA glue? Any suggestions? Thanks for any help. Mike Quote
syxxstring Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 How thick are the lines? Anything that's clear will work as long as it dries clear. Id worry about the flake being too big for the lines. Quote
Quarter Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Pearl Ex powders are very fine and might work for you. http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/pearlex/ Quote
RDub Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 (edited) I haven't used it myself, but a product like Inlace sounds like what your after. Someone else asked a similar question recently, so maybe someone that's used it will chime in. I have a friend witha lazer and I might try it out on the next one I build. Oops, I see you already found another thread on it. Guess I'm to slow. Edited February 6, 2009 by RDub Quote
