Its a fatback strat neck in birds eye maple with pau ferro finger board and 6150 frets, Im having the back laqured in vintage tint gloss! anyone know anything about there necks and what pau ferro is like to play on? DannoG Posted December 18, 2003 Report Share Posted December 18, 2003 I bought a PF fretboard from Warmoth for my first guitar. It's a tele, with a maple neck. I think it sounds fine. I would not say it is very warm however. The rest if the guitar is lacewood over mahogany and it is pretty twangy. I was thinking crispness and sustain with the neck and adding some warmth and depth with the body wood. Unlesss I were to put another neck on it, I'd just be guessing though.
