acejones81
Hello, I am new here and have a question about something I'm doing wrong. Can you help? I am up to the stage of wet sanding my guitar after my clear coat and whenever I wet sand the guitar, it ends up all cloudy and orange peely. (if you know what i mean) What do you guys think I'm doing wrong? Thank you!
wood is good
Whats happening is that your coat isnt level, and when you sand it, It brings out all the low spots, that you could not see before. You just have to sand more, or spray more coats until it is level. Its impossible to "make" orange peel by sanding.

Prostheta
+1 If you're wetsanding your clear with a block, you're aiming to "reveal" all the low spots if they are present, and if they're not you're polishing up the shine through the grits to buffing.
