Fowl2338
If you're worried, have them make it a "normal" bone/graphite/standard nut and use a Kahler type behind the nut string lock. They work great and let you cut your nut however you like... radius, spacing, etc... Eh, that is obviously a pliable option.....I've just heard such bad things about kahler nuts. Anyone care to debunk?
Reinhold
I got an r5 nut by going to a local shop that was in contact with Floyd Rose and had them order it for me (I also got a speedloader unit.) The whole thing ended up being much cheaper than buying it online.

westhemann
Just go with the 10" floyd nut.you really won't notice the difference.I have a 10" floyd nut on a 12" board on my guitar right now.
Reinhold
I got a 12" to match the speedloader, they actually sent me it separate with the standard size one also. It fits on my pre-radiused stewmac board pretty well. Edited February 14, 2010 by Reinhold
