Johnny Foreigner
I recently bought the cheapest set of pickups I could find: http://www.guitarpartsonline.com/product_i...products_id=185 they are 4 conductor and come with the instructions that the green is hot, black is ground. red and white are twisted together. however - and despite repeated emails to Ken at GPO - I don't know which of the red and white corresponds to which coil. which, I think, leaves me at a loss when trying to wire them up using a dpdt for series/parallel switching. or does it make bugger all difference? Splash out and get a $10 one. sounds like a plan. you might have to explain what I do with it - I don't think I've used one since 3rd form physics with Mr Aspden. SwedishLuthier
De-solder the white and red, measure the recistande to find out the correspondiong pairs (green + red and white + back is my guess). If you have a nice resistance in the Kohm range between say green and ref they comes from the same coil.
