With a drill and ferrules.

a drill press is your safest bet , but there are jigs you can use - look for Guitarnuts tele builds , He gave a GREAT example of how to do this.

Just in case you thought the strings start inside the body, they don't. They are actually all the way through the body, fed through ferrules fitted in the back and front of the body
