pauliemc
Im sure you can find it in an auto body shop, Check out house of colour or one of the other specialist paint houses. Not sure about where you are, but over here there are specialist paint places that can match any colour you can show them, Some of them can even put it onto rattle cans for you if need be. Should be a cool guitar, I just got asked to do the confederate flag Rebel guitar he plays.
Tim37
theres no need to go for a house of colors thats a lot of money for something you can do with any automotive paint. just find a paint store in your area go see them they should be able to get you something. I'll give them a shot, I've tried showing pictures for stains but they where never the same, I guess solid automotive colors are easier. Good luck on the Confederate Flag. I had a look back thru my notes on one of these I did a few years back. The closest i found to the off white gibson used was an Ivory that Jaguar & Aston martin use. Aparently its a fairly common colour with car restoration guys who do old 50's & 60's body work. I found it at a classic car show here completly by accident. I rekon you should have a look at some body shop paint charts, Check somewhere that does repairs & custom paint jobs.
