theodoropoulos Posted June 16, 2011 Report Share Posted June 16, 2011 could anybody inform me about the total width of the mahogany and the maple in a PRS guitar..i read abou 4.8 cm total width..is it correct? i am also interested in buliding a Schechter Loomis guitar and i am looking about the total body width... thank you in advance!! WezV Posted June 16, 2011 Report Share Posted June 16, 2011 so just under 2" - sounds about right. although most of us would call that the thickness of the guitar rather than the width the mahogany is 1 1/8" and the maple starts at about 3/4", with a 1/2" deep carve. if i remember right the maple is actually slightly over 3/4" something silly like 13/16" but i must say precise measurements of thickness are the last thing to worry about... does it really matter if your PRS copy is 1 3/4" rather than 2" ??? it only really matters to people who are making fakes! jessejames Posted June 25, 2011 Report Share Posted June 25, 2011 End Of Headstock To Nut = 6 1/8" From Nut To Bridge Saddle = 25" Width Of Body At Largest Point = 13" Depth Of Neck Joint = 1 5/16" Length Of Body At Longest Point = 17 3/4" Depth Of Neck without fingerboard = 3/4" (mine is a wide thin) Body Thickness = 1 7/8" (Mahogany Back is 1 1/8" leaving maple cap thickness at 3/4") Neck Angle = 3.5 degrees Headstock Angle = 13 degrees Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
