tjiscooler
Hey everyone! WEll I need a new router, specifically for guitar work. Can anyone recommend me a solid, tough and user friendly model? It needs to support up to 1/2 inch bits and have the power to not get bogged down with it. It doesnt have to plunge but It would be nice. Ill be using it to thickness plane bodies in my planing jig and probably use it with templates to route bodies and pickup/rear cavities and the like. Budget is a flexible 300-400 Any help is appreciated!
Ripthorn
I have the Bosch 1617EVSPK and it is great. Never had an issue with it, came with both fixed and plunge bases, soft start, yadda yadda. I think it comes in around 200.
tjiscooler
Wow, thats a nice looking router! Wood knobs and everything. I like the dual base thing too. My old router had triggers on it, it turned off when you let go. How do you like the on off button?
