mairj40
I picked up a 70's Harmony Marquis cheap. It was a mess. Someone had chipped at the top and the back with a knife. I am one process of refinishing it. It's a plywood body, but I'm hoping I can sell it once it's done. Here is the before... Here is the progress so far.. ScottR
Looks like the repair is going well. Are those single coils in humbucker routes? Is that standard for that guitar? SR
mairj40
Yeah, someone had put single coils in the humbucker routes. That is not the way the guitar is supposed to be. I am going to put it back the way it was intended, with humbuckers. It's a plywood body, so I don't want to go nuts trying to fix it up. I have some humbuckers out of a Stagg LP style guitar that I used to have. I am going to put those in it.
mairj40
Not much new to report tonight. Got the back painted. I'm going to let it sit overnight and wet sand the color coat flat with 400 grit paper.
