The REAL Nordic God
You know when youre playing a huge heavy pop n' slap riff then you go to do that really sharp pluck {what the F*** is that called} well anyways rotate your hand around right after that and lightly touch the plucked string and you get a cool harmonic. Great for a long pause in your line. Tell me the name of this tech if you know what it is.
Reaper
it's kind of a variation on tapped harmonics.

westhemann
it's a harmonic just like the open string ones at the 12th and 5th,etc...but when you fret a note the harmonic moves...for example...pluck the 7th fret and lightly touch the 19th
Southpa
I do that a lot on my acoustic. Try playing some real fast blues riffs in A and then work in that tap here and there on the 5th and 6th string - 12th fret.
FajiiNako
That's a form of a pinch harmonic. The name pinch harmonic comes from playing with your fingers. Try holding your thumb lightly on the string, and then picking with your index finger. Its kind of a pinching motion, isn't it? Well its basicly the same thing in this case, only on bass I've been playing with that one for a while. Sounds awesome on a fretless bass, because you can slide it up or down the neck! Devon Headen
Actually, I think what he's describing are harp harmonics. I love them on my acoustic. So great sounding. If I'm not mistaken Django does a whole passage of harp harmonics in Nuages (sp?). Good stuff. Devon
