First, go here to learn how to program your 505. Then, turn down the output of the SD-1, and try putting it in front of the Zoom for a "gain" (distortion) boost. Check it out and see what happens. Also try each one alone - you may prefer to use them separately. Neither one is a complete POS, you should be able to get usable sounds out of them with a little experimentation.
