RG5702JPM
I have read the tutorials, but haven't had much luck with (paint) strippers Is sanding the best way? Brad

RG5702JPM
Is there a particular type of stripper you recommend? I have been using the spray stripper and it sucks. I know in the tutorials you brush on. What type are you using. Thanks Brad
Brian
Any 60 grit will do As far as the chemicals go when it comes to those poly finishes on Ibanez's the only thing I found that will cut them is made for stripping airliners and should be handled with really thick rubber gloves and a very good mask
RG5702JPM
Youre right Brian....the ole DA sander worked a lot faster. I have a little finish work this week and I'm ready for the laminate top! Thanks
Three_Views
I have had good results using "KS-3 Premium Stripper" by Klean Strip. This is the strongest stuff that I have used. You can get it in 1 Gallon containers at Home Depot for around $20. Brush on, let it sit (10-20mins) and then scrape off with a very sharp blade (to get under the finish). Once it eats through the clear coat, it is smooth sailing. Cheers, Brent
