Brian
I'm currently working on a simple method for speed drying lacquer using a timing method and an infrared lamp to help dry the paint. Has anybody else experimented with different methods to help speed up the cure time on their paint? For now I'm hitting the paint with the light in 2 minute burst's then letting it cool back down for about 30 minutes. The light is about 18" from the painted surface. johnbsharp
I have used heat and fans as a way to evaporate solvant in lacquer to speed up drying time.Don't get to close with lamp. Also if weather permits I don't add retarder.
