GREGMW
Hi. I am sure this will be obvious but when I am setting out the scale and neck, exactly what part of the bridge (Fixed) do I measure to as each string is adjustable? Do I take an average? I realise its where the string leaves the bridge but each one will be different. TIA Greg

Brian
adjust the saddles to the center position and go from there, that way you should have plenty of room for intonation......... Moved to the correct section
RAI6
I checked on my RG, and the high E is exactly at the scale length. (From inside of nut, to where the string bends over the saddle on the bridge...)

Moved to the correct section Bad idea brian. The intonated string length can NEVER be less than the scale length, so adjusting the saddles to the centre only allows for a small amount of movement when intonating. Move the saddles all the way forward, and you that as the base point when marking out a scale length vs bridge position.
