sscovill Posted May 9, 2004 Report Share Posted May 9, 2004 Hi all, I'm hoping I can get some help to diagnose and fix a problem I've got with my guitar neck. Once I get down to the 12th fret and beyond, the notes sound "muted" for lack of a better word. I'm assuming that is the way fret noise sounds on those frets, but don't know how to fix it. syxxstring Posted May 9, 2004 Report Share Posted May 9, 2004 Sounds like you need to do some general setting up of your guitar. I believe the main page has an excellect tutorial on this. If this doesn't resolve it than you may have more serious issues, fret leveling, bad wood(warped twisted etc.) Give us more info on the type(accoustic/electric/bolt on/set neck), brand, model, etc...
