Guitar_dude23 Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 I forgot what routering bit to use for the edges of a strat body. i kno its a chamfer bit, but what size??? whats the standard fender strat size?? Quote
GregP Posted June 2, 2004 Report Posted June 2, 2004 Chamfer? I thought it was a roundover bit! Dunno about the radius, but there's another topic going on somewhere within the past week, so you could do a search using the term "roundover" and/or "radius" for under 2 weeks and you'll find it. Guitar_dude23 Posted June 3, 2004 Author Report Posted June 3, 2004 I couldnt find what I wanted in there. Im talking about the router bit to go around the edges of the whole guitar. I think it was 1/4 inch but Im not sure. anyone kno?? Quote
skibum5545 Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 It's 3/8 in. 1/4" gives you a sharper look to it, which I liked with my oil finish, but 3/8" looks classier with the gloss finish because it helps accent the shine and flow of the curves. 1/2 looks a little "squishy" IMHO. Quote
