transparent finishes

Im looking to paint my strat body a transparent blue-green color like the one in the picture. could someone direct me to a tutorial. i couldnt find one on the main sight, but maybe im just blind.

i beleive they paint over it without filling in the grain, or that might be another tpe of finish...

or maybe its a die, but im not sure

That is an Ash body. If you want yours to look the same, you'll have to have an Ash body too.

1) Fill the grain w/ black tinted pore filler

2) Sand back 'till level w/ a flat-backed sanding block

3) Spray clear finish and sand back until surface is flat

4) Spray a blue-green tinted shader coat

5) Spray more clear coats until you're done

6) Let dry, buff out
