SamMeans
Okay I'm getting so frustrated. I bought a Mighty Mite Birdseye Maple with Rosewood board neck and I can't find a strat body it fits in well. What the heck is going on? I figured cause the first couple of bodies I had where from the Asian Fender products, but now I found out it isn't right for the Mexi strat bodies either. Do I have an oddball neck?? Its about 2 and 3/16 wide in the neck pocket which is a little too narrow, but I could probably deal with it, but the whole are way off. Please help me out, any info about Mighty Mite or what I could get would be great. Thanks

Brian
Sounds to me like the neck is about a 1/32-1/16" to wide, have you asked them if they will replace it or swap it out? Some replacement neck's come (in my dealings anyway) without the hole's drilled in them. I wonder why companys assume it is for a certain guitar body to begin with. vh-guitarstore.com
the standard neck pocket width is 2 3/16 inch......however, some companies like jackson use 2 1/4 inch now.....i wouldnt sweat out a il play in the pocket.....the reason holes arent drilled in replacement necks is because you cant drill them until you have the guitar assembled with strings as to line up the neck
Brian
Seems a bit odd that Jackson would stray from the industry standard since they are owned by Fender now
vh-guitarstore.com
they did that a long time ago when they went to pointy necks...grover felt that the fender pocket was too narrow
