westhemann Posted April 9, 2003 Report Share Posted April 9, 2003 that can only be done if the fingerboard is extended.factory 22 and 24 fret necks are different overall lengths in most instances.that's why they offer the extended fingerboards.you can extend the neck pocket but only if no pickups are in the way.(by the way i measured both types of necks on my ibanez,schecter,and fernandes to make sure before i posted) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
