JamesRaven23 Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Hey everyone, I was restringing my Ibanez RG guitar (with an edge trem) and I accidentally broke part of my trem's anchor screw. Ibanez parts can be pretty hard to find and expensive.. and it was only part of the screw's head that broke off so I'm hoping that I'll be able to glue it back together with the right kind of glue. I tried using crazy glue but that couldnt take the tension of an allen wrench. SO I was hoping someone here might know which glue works best for metal parts. I'd appreciate your help Thanks, James Quote
perhellion Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 JB Weld. Probably stronger than some metals bridges are made of, but I don't know if it is strong enough to be given the allen wrench treatment. If any "metal glue" will hold it, JB Weld will. Quote
soapbarstrat Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 nothing will keep it on there, if a wrench gets used on it. I had something like that happen to a floyd post. I turned it with a screwdriver, and the black plating popped right off the top of the screw. So I colored the exposed bare metal with a black paint pen. Quote

Or JB Kwik with a 4 min. set time. Takes confidence, but saves a lot of time! Quote
