ZiKi
I was looking around lmi for some inexpensive finishes and saw alot of different types. I was wondering whats the best for the buck (im going to be dying beforehand). Also, do i need a sealer for the wood, and do i put it on before or after the dying process? guitar_ed
Hi Ziki, You can do it: 1) Cheap 2) Right Rarely does Cheap = Right. Having said that, there are ways to save money, but they require more time and may not give you the results you want. Also, seal before or after dying? It depends on what you mean. If you intend to dye the wood directly, dye first then seal. If your tint is in the finish, seal first. Guitar Ed Opinions are like @ssholes. And I just showed you mine. ZiKi
Okay is this a good finish for what i have? http://www.lmii.com/CartTwo/thirdproducts....shing+Compounds if so, which should i get, or should i get them all?
Phil Mailloux
Thats not a finish. That'a a polishing compound to make your guitar shiny once you've finished with... the finishing read all the finishing tutorial on the LMII site after that you should have an idea what to do. http://www.lmii.com/CartTwo/FinishOverview.htm
