Strange Fruit
Sorry i dont know really what you mean, could you explain ? Ok, so what i mean is, you leave the body wood natural. Just cleared or something. Then you get a walnut stain, or black stain etc, and stain your cavity that was for the inlay. I personally think it would look cool, kind of intensify the rout pattern. BTW, are the bridge etc gonna be in the inlay?? Matt

Slaughthammer
Sorry i dont know really what you mean, could you explain ? But what i was thinking is: Just putting Epoxy Glue Mixed in with Iron Filings or Sawdust. is that a good/Bad idea? IMO it's the easiest way to get a good result. i'd prefer iron filings. with sawdust it won't look like wood anyway, but the iron filings will give a nice effect. but sanding epoxy is very much work, it gets damn hard
american_jesus
you could do an acrylic inlay. take some sort of colored paper/other thin film, cut it to fit the inlay, cut the acrylic to fit, then get it all seated.
