    ooooooo i forgot about Panama! That's such a fun song! I also like playing Eruption. one of the few solos i can play as of yet lol.

    oh well that custom ax is going to have to wait until this summer. I have college right now lol. But i do want to atleast try them out. And my GRX sounds sooooooo horrible with powersounds in it >.< I know i can get a decent sound out of this guitar, because it sounds great unplugged! But anyway, my custom ax will have an iommi in the bridge, a hotrails in the middle, and a SD jazz in the neck, or something like that. I'm definately putting an Iommi in there. and just for fun, some hardware will be gold, and some will be silver.

    Oh well i draw the tamplate and cut it out myself. It just serves as a guide for the bandsaw for me. It'll still need touchups, but it'll have a better chance of coming out the way you want it to i think. *shrugs*

    Awesome we can race or something lol. I've already got the tamplate! j/k lol. I'm gonna take my time, seeing that this is gonna be the first i'll ever build. My friend Ken Francis (former Sonic Designs) says there's no better feeling than plugging in something that you know you built yourself

    Well if i had that amount of money to spend on a guitar, i'd DEFINATELY have a white RR1T with black pinstripes and gold hardware! Unfortunately i don't ever see spending any more than 1200 for a guitar. And that guitar would be custom built to myyyyyyyyyy specs. So yeah, i guess i'll have to build it myself oh the bother

    The best one is one that you love, and later on figure out that she loves to play guitar But then it turns out that you like to shread and she likes to play slide country or something lol.

    well the pickguard wouldn't be grounded itself unless it was touching the bridge i think... sooooooooo i think i'd still have to shield it. I donno. I'm still kind of a beginner here ^.^ But either way, i don't mind having a wire leading to the bridge. ...wait... this is going to be an active setup... i'm confused >.<

    That sounds like a neat Idea. I should experiment with pickguards as well. I've always wanted a mirror pickguard I'm probably gonna refinish the grx20 as well. Dang, there's so much i could do to this thing. I've already refretted it.

    Well i personally have zero experience with him and i'm only going by why i've heard. So i checked out his stuff, and it seemed to fit. According to the jcf, he makes his own guitars, and then overprices them. And he's been known to make fake USA Jacksons and sell them at the same price. *shrugs* well i donno, the people there have a huge problem with him. Well anyway, i'm here now, so ya old habits die hard >.o i should probably give him a chance.

    Well its probably gonna disappoint you a bit, but that guitar was found on Ed Roman's site *Ed Roman was kicked in the ass by an acquaintance of mine who currently resides at www.jcfonline.com*. Not sure if you guys know who he is or not, but i recommend that you don't deal with him.

    I read up on tone woods a bit, and apparently Alder and Mahogany have similar tonal qualities. So if i put em in the GRX20, i'll have a closer emulation to Zakk's sound. I would like to have more tonal range, so i can stop having to go over and switch channels on my POD.

    ??? Looks ok to me. It's a signature guitar. that tells me that its made to his specs Looks like it was made to Hammett's specs o.O just different inlays.

    Well i just happened to have a Zakk Wylde set (EMG 81/85), and i didn't really know where to post this... Well it was either solid body, or electronics. So what do you think? Should i install these in my GRX20(alder), RG250DX (HSH Basswood)? Or should i try something different and put these in my new bass (swamp ash)? I think i'm gonna put em in the GRX20, but i'd just like to hear your thoughts.

    My girlfriend can play pretty well. She can't exactly shred, but then agian, neither can i lol. We learn together. She's getting pretty fast though, so i'll have to work a bit to keep up with her lol.

    I'd probably have a regular table up against a wall, with any tool i need neatly organized, and hanging in front of me. Of course there would be an angular vice clamped to the table, along with a fret press Right now, i'm happy with what i got though. I have a regular office desk with all my wiring schimatics*sp* in the filing drawer, all my metric tools in a smaller drawer, and all my standard tools in another. Soldering station is in the corner, and i have 2 nonwheeley chairs. I keep a clipboard hanging on the wall for any schimatics i need to look at while i'm working. So that always helps. So ya ^.^ nothing special.

    Thank you! Actually i really want a Jackson WR1T, or a RR1Tbut i just plain don't have anywhere near that amount of money for a guitar o.O Holy crap, almost 2,000 dollars, or more! So i went to Ibanez, cuz they seem to fit my needs and price requirements. They just have crappy pickups >.o They're pretty good guitars to build off of i guess. Basswood is kinda dull, but i beleive that you can make any guitar sound good with the proper technique, and equipment. And thanks on the avitar! I had a friend of mine photoshop that about 3 or 4 years ago for me.

    Hi! I kinda migrated over here from the jackson forum. Lets seeeeee, what can i say about me? Well for starters here's what i got Ibanez GRX20, refretted and restocked with a ZW set Ibanez RG250DX restocked with a JB in the bridge, and a Hotrials in the Middle Ibanez GSR100, redone with an EMG P/J set Sonic Designs custom made fretless feather bass And for amps i have a POD 2.0 Peavey Basic 112 combo bass amp. Not much, but what can i say? i'm a poor college student lol. Currently, my custom bass is in order, although i've already received the neck, which is on my GSR100 right now. Best neck i've ever played But yep, that's me so far. So yeah. Hi!
